Gospel Festival 2014 featuring Israel Houghton and the New Breed Band was AMAZING! At the press conference Israel promised a disappearing act and indeed that it was. Israel and New Breed lead an energetic and inspiring time of worship and praise. It was evident that the crowd felt the presence of God as the multitude held their hands up with faces to the sky, knees to the hard cold tarmac and prayers filling the atmosphere.
Each song was presented with such fervor making it very difficult to deny the pull of the all-powerful, all-encompassing Jesus Christ.
Israel Houghton and New Breed must have been pleasantly surprised that the Guyanese audience sang along to almost every song, as there were several pauses to allow the crow to sing out creating a sweet melodious symphony.
Kudos to the local artiste who opened for Israel Houghton and New Breed at Gospel Festival 2014!! Overall Inspire Inc. did an excellent job selecting from the pool of local gospel artiste for the show.
While we would like to say that, everyone did a great job we have to recognize that there were a few exemplary ones in the mix. Some of the ‘powerhouses’ at Gospel Festival 2014 included the Trenacia Esseboom who as usual gave an hair raising ministry performance singing Chris Tomlin’s ‘Indescribable’. When Trenacia sings things move. Big/heavy things move! She is ours! Gospel Elite predicts that Trenacia Esseboom will continue to make Guyana extremely proud and that G
od will put her in the path of international producers. After all, the Bible did say in Proverbs 18:16 that “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men”
The Guyanese audience was once again stunned by the powerful voice of Miriam Corlette-Williams who performed a duet with her fourteen-year-old son; Jeremiah Williams. This was another breath taking sound to behold. Gospel Elite’s prediction is that Jeremiah Williams will have the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest international gospel-recording artiste. Proverbs 18:16. Inspire Inc. will do good to have Jeremiah Williams at every Gospel Festival.
Another young and up-coming talent is Samuel Medas who continues to win the hearts of Guyanese her and abroad. His voice is so rich, so powerful. His ability to lead worship precedes him. Proverbs 18:16.
